Jack Shawn Wins Lifetime Achievement Award

Jack Shawn, Senior Operations Manager and Safety Director at TFE Toro Express, was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Minnesota Trucking Association’s 84th Annual Conference. Only eight other individuals have been presented with this prestigious award since its conception in 1997.

The award is presented to an individual who, over the course of their career, has made a lasting impact on both the Minnesota Trucking Association (MTA) and the entire Minnesota trucking industry.

Jack began his trucking industry career in 1996 with TFE Toro Transport Express and has served on the MTA Board of Directors since 2004, served as Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2007, the MTA Safety Council and MTA Safety Conference Planning Committee. He has also been active on the MTA Driver of the Month Committee, MTA Board Development Committee and Trucks and Toys Committee.

“Jack has a dogged commitment to putting safety first. The proof is in the results. He has had ten drivers selected as MTA Driver of the Month and one selected as MTA Driver of the Year. More importantly, his company is the only five-time winner of the fleet safety Grand Trophy; an award selected by independent judges from MnDOT, the State Patrol and FMCSA based on overall safety performance and improvement on the road,” says MTA president, John Hausladen.
