Jim Kroschel Named Grand Champ at MN Truck Driving Championships

JIM KROSCHEL NAMED
CHAMPION AT MINNESOTA TRUCK DRIVING
US Foods driver takes
ROSEVILLE, MINN –(June 9, 2014) – Jim Kroschel, driver for
US Foods in Plymouth, was named 2014 champion at the Minnesota Truck Driving Championships held
June 7-8 on the grounds of Con-way Freight in Fridley.
“Jim has been driving for 33 years, covering 3 million
career miles,” said MTA President/CEO John Hausladen. “He’s been our state champion eight times in
the 26 years he’s been competing.”
Presented by the
Minnesota Trucking Association (MTA) Safety Council, the annual competition tests drivers’ skills navigating a
tough obstacle course, along with completing a written test and a pre-trip
inspection where they identify safety defects planted on a
Semi truck drivers from across the state competed for the
honor of representing Minnesota at the National Truck Driving Championships in
Pittsburgh, August 12-16, 2014.
Kroschel, a Maplewood resident, has been employed by US
Foods for 22 years.
