Quality Issues with the Minnesota 2014 IFTA Decal
Tuesday, February 4, 2014
Driver and Vehicle Services (DVS) has received reports from customers who
are experiencing quality issues with some of the Minnesota 2014 International
Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) decals. Issues reported include the decals not
adhering properly, portions of the decal breaking off, as well as problems with
the decal peeling then completing falling off vehicles.
While so far the issue has not been widespread enough to warrant a
complete re-issuance of the decals, DVS is offering replacements to carriers at
no charge. Furthermore, DVS is asking jurisdiction law enforcement officials to
take this issue into consideration should there be question of a Minnesota
carrier with a valid 2014 IFTA license certificate but with a missing or
defective 2014 Minnesota IFTA decal.
To obtain a replacement decal, customers should contact the IFTA Unit via
email at DVS.Prorate.DPS@state.mn.us or via fax at (651) 797-1187.
Any questions regarding this issue may be directed to the DVS IFTA office
at (651) 205-4141, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
