Robert Erickson Named Minnesota’s Top 2011 Truck Driver
At the Minnesota Trucking Association Driver of the Year Awards Banquet on Monday night, the Driver of the Year Award was presented to Robert Erickson of Wright, MN.

Roseville, MN: The Minnesota Trucking Association (MTA) named Robert Erickson, a professional truck driver for MinStar Transport in Eagan Minnesota, as Minnesota’s 2011 Truck Driver of the Year.

Robert was selected from among a group of distinguished drivers (see list below) by a team of judges comprised of the division administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, a captain from the Minnesota State Patrol and a director at the Minnesota Department of Transportation. He was chosen based upon his safe driving record, job performance and community service. The Minnesota Truck Driver of the Year Program has been in existence for over 50 years.

For the past 33 years, Robert has driven over
2 million safe driving miles and recently came in sixth place out of 22 drivers in this year’s Truck Driving Championships. For the past three and a half years, Robert has been driving for MinStar Transport in Eagan where he is regarded as one of their best assets by continually going above and beyond all areas of his job.
