Annual Dues: $150 per person (fleet members); $250 per person

The major objective of the MTA Maintenance Council is the
improvement and maintenance of transportation equipment. This is accomplished
by providing a channel for the exchange of ideas between professional technicians,
as well as between technicians and suppliers. The Council generally meets the
third Wednesday of each month September through May.
The council welcomes all MTA members all who are involved
in transportation equipment maintenance, the education of maintenance personnel
and all vendor representatives directly involved in field service-tech service.

The major objective of the MTA Registration and Tax Council is to share knowledge
and exchange ideas among individuals in the trucking industry who have licensing,
registration or tax responsibilities. Industry speakers and regulatory personnel
break down current trends in UCR, IRP, IFTA, HVUT, IRS, motor fuel taxes, mileage
taxes, and other state and federal motor carrier taxes. The council generally
meets year-round on the first Wednesday of every other month.
Membership in the MTA Registration and Tax Council is open to MTA members
who are involved in licensing and fleet registration or who deal with state and

Annual Dues: $200 per person
The major objective of the MTA Safety Council is to share
knowledge and exchange ideas among individuals with similar responsibilities
by bringing together safety professionals from all areas of the trucking industry.
The nine monthly meetings include seminars, industry speakers, field trips and
joint ventures with regulatory personnel. The Council generally meets the second
Wednesday of each month September through May.
Membership in the MTA Safety Council is limited to individuals
with safety responsibilities who are employed at member companies of the Minnesota
